The crocodile farm is located in the Kuala Baram area, and is a privately owned farm started as a hobby of the owner. The crocodiles are bred in captivity, and not taken from the wild. The farm supplies crocodile meat and skin to restaurants in Miri and Kuching, and is a good place to learn about the different characteristics of various species of crocodile, and how to differentiate the fresh water gharial from the estuarine man-eaters.
Visitors can observe the breeding habits of the reptiles and see how mother crocodiles guard their nests, and if lucky, may get to see a crocodile feeding.
Besides the crocodiles, the farm also has some collections of other Borneo wildlife like the pig tailed macaque, the long tailed macaque, the Borneo fresh water otter, the spiny porcupine, several types of rodents, snakes, birds and different species of deer.
The farm also offers angling activities for the locals and visitors. Visitors might want to try their luck at one of the fishing ponds at a small additional fee which will cover a fishing rod and bait.
