Approximately 30 km south of Miri City, the Lambir Hills National Park with an area of 6,952 hectares is distinguished for its outstanding species and rich forest, which make it become a heaven for both botanists and researchers . The park was gazetted since May 15th, 1975.  It is open for public and has important recreational, educational and researches values.

Being in the central portion of Lambir Hill, with a height of 465 meters, the hill is composed of rugged sand-stone escarpment.  The forest is comprised of mixed Dipterocarp forests and Kerangas forest. The huge, tall dipterocarp trees such as Kapur, Meranti, Kempas and Selangan Batu cover the canopy of the forest and the smaller trees such as Rhu Bukit and the Selunsur Bukit will cover the lower layer of the forest. Flowering and fruits shrub trees, climbers and creepers are also can be found in here. Low shrubs, pitcher plants and orchids, ferns vines, palms, mushrooms moss and lichen are common in the park.

There is a good variety of animals including bats, monkeys, pangolins and barking deer. About 157 species of birds have been recorded.

Primary, secondary, and tertiary trails are well-marked marks for visitors. The Summit Trail is excellent for adventurous hikers. The infamous main pool of the park is famous for its main pool with a sandy beach, which is in the middle of the jungle and is frequented by the locals.  There are also a number of waterfalls, which are located along the trail to the main pool. It is a common nature escape among the locals, and is renowned for jungle trekking, bird watching or for enjoying a dip in the cool natural swimming pool.

Itinerary
Pick-up will be from the hotel lobby and proceed for a 45 minutes scenic drive to the south of Miri City before you reach Lambir National Park.

You need to register at the park office before proceeding to your guided tour the national park.  You will be taken on a short trek to the tree tower.  Later, you will proceed to a nearby waterfall for swimming.

After that, you will be transferred back to the Miri city. The tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.
